Old Time Radio

I personally could not sit and listen to a radio for hours for entertainment. The mystery that I listened  to was trash. The quality is terrible. I can imagine me constantly fixing the antennas to get the right frequency and that would eventually annoy me. I can see how radio dominated the entertainment market then because it was popular and the only source of national entertainment. The television has replaced the radio for the dominant entertainment source because it added sight to in home entertainment. Presidents Roosevelt's late night talk show must have been a success in that time because he was one of few programs airing on the radio in that time. It's like people had to believe what ever was put on the radio at that time because it was the radio, and not everyone was capable of owning one. Thank God for t.v. because radio would not make it in my household.
