Banning Books`

I think banning books is ridiculous. Especially in the schools and libraries. I admit some material is too vulgar for children but we live in a vulgar society. I think knowing and being aware of whats going on is a whole lot better than not knowing and growing up ignorant. I believe the whole purpose for reading is to stimulate your mind and to interact with your imagination. If we ban books then we should ban television. Both can have explicit material and can be vulgar. Everyone is not the same and should not be treated as such. Some kids experience situations that others wouldn't experience until an older age. So reading material that is too advanced for your child may not be the same conditions for another. Banning books for that reason is obscene. If a parent/ guardian doesn't want to expose their child to certain material than that is on them, do not ruin a learning experience for everyone else just because of your viewpoints.
