Warner Bros. Tour

The Warner Bros. Tour looks like it would be a fantastic experience first hand. There are so many sets and different scenes it is like being in new place every minute. I really like how everything is in one place. The atmosphere there must be exciting because its acting and production all around. I got really excited viewing how television shows like Ellen and movies like Batman are filmed in this single location. It must be awesome being apart of Warner Bros. because just from taking the tour I want to make a career change and be at the studio everyday. Overall I really enjoyed it and would like to see it first hand one day.

The Weather Channel Tour

This tour was a bit more interesting and engaging than the New York Times tour. I did not have to rush through the tour so I got the full effect without actually being there. I really liked the set up of the studio and how the building was pretty much sound proof. I would not have guessed that there would be a sound proof building but the fact that there is one that is close to it is pretty cool. I think the space that they reserved for recycling was a good thought but over the top. That is quite a bit of space for recycling for a news studio. The other thing that I liked was the 360 degree swiveling anchor desk. It gives multiple angles for broadcasting and is innovative in technology.

New York Times Tour

I really liked the New York Times building. Especially the inside. The garden was beautiful. I think that was my favorite part only because I am learning about interior design in one of my classes this semester. I could get used to being in a building like that everyday. I am a city boy so any building with space and lots of people is my type of building. In Houston there are tons of gorgeous building with all types of structures. The New York Times is one of those building you need to see in person to get the full effect of its structural beauty.

Recording Studio Tour

I have been and always will be amazed at how music is created in a recording studio. There are so many different knobs and switches I feel like I would be overwhelmed. I think it is a gift for someone to figure out all the functions that a recording studio is capable of. Artist's voices can be enhanced and they can sound a whole lot better by cleaning up a track. The recording studion that I liked the most was the Pacyderm studion. Artist could stay the night in the studio till they finish their product. I thought that was cool because I have a friend who is a rapper and to see a studio that artist could be comfortable in and stay the night in sounds like something my friend would love. Sleeping at your work place shows dedication and committment and that is something I value.

Media Now

In today's society having some sort of technology that people can get information from is a necessity. With the increase in technology that our generation is experiencing, media outlets have to keep up. The news has had to adjust to the most I believe to the changes. Social networks, apps for mobile devices such as tablets and cell phones, are just some of the ways media outlets have to reach this new era of technology. The media has to keep up to reach the younger generation because everyday technology is advancing.

Ethical Decision Making

I learned the most from deception activity. Many media outlets and producers use this technique to get people to buy their product or support what ever it is they are marketing. People believe what they see or hear and are deceived by the companies to get their hard earned dollars. Like the infomercials that sale products that do not work. These types of deceiving acts are very common in our society. People have to be smarter and use their better judgement or the will continue to get bamboozled.
